Each season, Support Dance Inc. sponsors, supports and funds a variety of arts, dance and theatre performances in our local community; offering opportunities for those who may not otherwise be given the chance to see a professional stage show the chance to attend one, AND for local young aspiring dancers to get the opportunity to perform on a professional stage. This creates a win/win for everyone in our community. SDI’s continuing commitment to the arts is shown, year after year, through their sponsorship of live stage events such as these.

EVENT: "2010 Starry, Starry Night... Dancing on the SQUARE"

WHERE: CREST THEATRE AT OLD SCHOOL SQUARE, DELRAY BEACH
DESCRIPTION:
This event is an entire evening for adults, filled with fun and entertainment! It’s SDI’s annual Gala Fundraiser; and it is by invitation only, but we HIGHLY encourage all patrons of the arts to attend! Tickets are available to the general public online (see below) or can be purchased from a member of our Board, for $75 per person. Raffle tickets can also be purchased on site or in advance (see purchase page.) Dress - cocktail attire. Your evening will include catered food, wine, dessert, live music, valet parking, and a stage performance at the intimate and charming Crest Theatre featuring the talents of the Thomas Dance Studio’s Encore Dance Co., plus celebrity emcee, television host Bob Nichols! The evening will also include a silent auction of fine arts, jewelry, crafts, wonderful vacation packages, fishing and golf weekends, and much, much more. The drawing for the live cash raffle will also be held, with the winner receiving $1250 cash! (but you don’t need to be present to win.) So, please come join the festivities and support the arts! You’ll be glad you came.
EVENT: "MARCH MAGIC & DANCE"

WHERE: PALM BEACH COMMUNITY COLLEGE – DUNCAN THEATRE, LAKE WORTH, FL

DESCRIPTION:
As the title implies, this event, co-sponsored by SDI and the Palm Beach Community College, is both a dance and a magic show, featuring dancers and magicians, with both local businesses and SDI sponsoring tickets free of charge for many at-need children. The show is geared toward kids (and adults!) of all ages; so it’s a wonderful family venue. As an additional fun touch, prior to the show, guests are treated to up-close magic tricks in the lobby. Once seated, the theatre-goers enjoy a professional stage show, featuring the talents of Encore Dance Company and the illusions and feats of professional magicians. The dancers will perform tap, jazz and ballet routines; while the magicians and comics do live tricks. Tickets are reserved seating and can be purchased at the Palm Beach Community College box office prior to the show or online at www.pbcc.edu/duncan.xml.
