Support Dance, Inc. Receives Grant from Target for 15th Annual March Magic & Dance
Lake Worth, Florida – September 7, 2009 – Support Dance, Inc. today announced a partnership with Target in recognition of its efforts in providing live stage performances for the underserved community. Support Dance, Inc. brings the art of dance to today’s youth through their 15th Annual March Magic and Dance performance, to be held on March 5, 2010. This year, Support Dance, Inc. is partnering with Palm Beach Community College’s Duncan Theatre in presenting the event. Approximately 200 local elementary school children will have the opportunity to experience a magical stage performance free of charge. Entertainment will be provided by members of the international Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 117 and Thomas Dance Studio’s ENCORE! Dance Company. The Emcee will be the “Amazing Mr. A”, Richard Adler. Funds donated by local civic organizations, businesses, and corporations such as Target provide the means necessary to produce such a performance and provide free tickets to children in our local community.
"We are extremely indebted to the Target Corporation for helping Support Dance, Inc. fund this wonderful event,” said Mark Easton, President of Support Dance, Inc. "The collaborative effort of organizations such as Target and other local civic groups demonstrate their commitment to bringing the arts to “today’s youth…tomorrow’s audiences."
